Kelly Gibson grew up in Raleigh, NC and received her Ph.D. 从哈佛. 工作时 她的Ph值.D., she spent a year in Paris on a Fulbright fellowship re搜索ing early medieval manuscripts. She enjoys participating in archaeological excavations and applying interdisciplinary approaches to her re搜索 and teaching. Her most recent work has utilized saints' lives to uncover ideas about doctrine, emotions, kingship, and monastic 实践. Her current projects are 1) a statistical study 的 factors affecting the distances traveled by ninth-century pilgrims and 2) a critical edition 的 commentaries of Genesis and Leviticus by Claudius of Turin. Dr. Gibson is also the Co-editor 的 Dallas Medieval Texts and Translations 系列.
